Q&A

In this section, I am addressing some frequently asked questions to help you feel more prepared for your upcoming tattoo session.

  • Please refrain from consuming alcohol the night before. It is advisable to enjoy a nutritious breakfast in the morning. Additionally, ensure that you wear comfortable clothing and bring snacks or a packed lunch.

  • I invite you to a complimentary consultation where we can discuss your journey and collaboratively develop a design concept tailored to your needs. It is beneficial to remain open to various design ideas; you may also explore available designs showcased on my Instagram.

  • After your session, your tattoo will be covered with a protective plastic covering. This covering must remain in place for several hours to a few days, depending on the type of plastic applied.

For the initial four days of the healing process, we advise refraining from any vigorous activities. It is essential to cleanse your tattoo with mild soap and water and to apply a thin layer of tattoo cream thereafter.

This routine should be followed three times a day for the next two weeks.

Additionally, please avoid sun exposure, sauna visits, and swimming for the first three weeks of healing. Your tattoo is expected to be fully healed within three to four weeks.

  • Most of the tattoos I create are a mix of stencil and freehand designs, meaning they are drawn onto the body directly. This allows the artwork to fit each individuals body, and will not be replicated.

I mix this method with my pre drawn design to ensure the highest quality of realism in my botanical and microrelistic motifs.

  • I am open to working around, between, with and through other tattoos. If the lines are fine or faint, they can be incorporated or covered in order to flow into the design we create, but please understand they may still be visible.

Heavy blackwork, large areas of ink, or blowouts are not possible for me to cover up: my style leans toward delicate textures and lines, and would be ineffective in a coverup attempt.

Scars, birthmarks, stretch marks, moles, and freckles are always welcome.  Do remember that they are part of the body and will likely still be visible even after we tattoo over/around them. I would be very glad to integrate them into the design.

Please include an image of your existing tattoos if you have a specific placement idea in mind! This helps me prepare for the best way to work with your collection.

  • Pricing reflects the unique nature of each project, considering style, placement, and the time dedicated to the design. When you share your budget upfront during the booking inquiry, I can craft a design that harmonizes with your vision, allowing us to focus on the artistry without the constraints of a ticking clock.

I operate on a session basis for either a half or full session/day. The price per full day of creating your future art piece is usually 7.995DKK (around 1.070€), but may vary depending on international visits.

Smaller pieces might take half a session, where larger and more time consuming pieces might take multiple sessions - we will visit this in a consultation.

Freehand tattooing demands a high level of intensity and energy from the artist, particularly during the design phase. The dedication of time, thoughtful analysis, and creative insight required for custom designs is integral to our session and factored into the overall hours charged.

Keep in mind that the design process may consume about a third of our time together, depending on the complexity, specificity, and scale of your piece. Estimating the duration of a freehand tattoo solely based on an idea or its location can be challenging; factors such as coverage, detail, and size emerge as we delve deeper. I cherish not only the quality of my work and art pieces, but also the quality of time with my guests. I hope you’ll enjoy both the beautiful art and also immerse yourself in the proces of creating these pieces together.

  • In order to confirm an appointment, I will ask for a deposit to be paid in advance. The deposit is 1.000DKK per session and will be deducted from the final price after the session.

Deposits are non-refundable under most circumstances: this helps ensure that both of us are reliably commited to the appointment, and covers some of my time in the case of a sudden no-show or cancellation.

If you need to change the appointment day, please let me know at least 72 hours (3 days) in advance: in this case, we can move the appointment without needing a new deposit, and I have the opprtunity to fill my work day.

  • Tattoos become part of our skin: skin ages. Fine line and texture will not remain as crisp as the day you leave the studio, blacks will often age into a grey or blueish tone over time, white will warm closer to your skin colour. Time, sun (!), and the growing body inevitably will alter the appearance of a tattoo: if you are resistant to this, I recommend reconsidering the decision of a permanent piece. I will always send aftercare information when you leave the studio after a session: once the tattoo is healed, I strongly suggest wearing SPF and minimising exposure to sun to preserve the tattoos appearance. Personally I love the way skin integrates tattoos organically over time, and prefer elaborating and layering them as a piece of art evolving along with the body.

My work leans torward relatively thin, delicate lines and details: these will settle into the skin, and as new skin grows with age the sharpness will soften, edges blur and colour lighten. I will always accomodate touch ups for free within the first 6 months of the session.

If you want to build on an older piece we created together, extend or develop them, I will always offer a touch up on the older piece.
